6. Who is the killer?

You were in a breathtaking situation. Suddenly you heard a siren. When you turned back, you saw that inspector calling your name aloud with a torch in his hand. ‘I am here..’ you shouted. When you turned back again, there was none. The lady was not there. That inspector rushed towards you. ‘What are you doing here? I’ve been searching for you for the past 2 hours.’ he asked. You told him about the local legend and said, ‘Just visited this place out of anxiety.’ ‘How did you know that I am here?’ you asked him. ‘I just traced your mobile. What kind of place is this?’ he asked. ‘What’s the matter? Anything important?’ you asked. The inspector sat on a broken statue and gave a distressed look.

‘Yes, it is… huh! This fucking case is getting more complicated day by day and screwing us up. But you are doing some shit on an abandoned villa at this time.’ He shouted. ‘What happened?’ you asked again. The inspector said,

‘Actually, I have two news for you. One is we have confirmed that Mr. Chandan was with Smrithi that night. The fingerprints on the wine glass, bedroom mirror, bathroom shower knob matches with him. We have sent a team to arrest him for the inquiry. But, actress Rithiksha was found dead in her apartment this evening. I am coming right away from there and I want you to have a look at the crime scene.’ He said. Rithiksha’s death was a real shock and twist in the entire case. She was the prime suspect. When you entered Rithiksha’s house, you smelt something strange. It was the same as the one in the villa. The cause of the death of Rithi was strange and brutal. You have never seen such a death. She was brutally beaten to death. The police suspect that the weapon might be a walking stick. The marks on her body resembled like it was created by something which matches the dimension of a walking stick. Her face was brutally beaten. Some areas of her skin have burn marks. You noticed something drawn on her thighs. It was drawn using a knife. It resembled those drawings you found in Smrithiksha’s house. It was the exact copy of that figure. Her face was half burnt and her lips were bitten off. The police inspector gave you a book. It seemed like a journal owned by Rithi.

It was a shock for you when you opened that journal. On the first page of the journal, you found a photo attached in which Rithi and Smrithi were smiling with a handwritten caption, 

“Sista Goals!”

After clicking the publish button on the interface, she desperately wanted to close her laptop and doze off. But it was then, she noticed something strange on her screen. It was Instagram with a red dot on top of it. She clicked to open it. There was a message from someone called Javier.       ‘She’s coming.’      ‘7 nights and 6 days,' was the message from that person. She was too tired to think about that message. She just closed the lid of the laptop and dozed off to sleep.  The next morning,      The clock was running past eight and she was still sailing deep in sleep. It was then, her mobile started ringing so loud as it used to ring all the time. After a few rings, she realised it and woke up to answer that call. It was Bharath.      ‘What’s the matter? Let me sleep for some time,’ she said as soon as she answered the call.
