5. Who is the killer?

You made your decision to enter the villa looking for clues about that stranger. It was total darkness. The clock hit ten at night. It was a no moon day and you could hear dogs howling abnormally. It was surprising that the entire area was abandoned and there were no green plants around the villa. There was no human activity for almost a kilometer of radius from the villa.

Your heartbeat touched its peak and your body started sweating a lot. Your hands shivered and legs trembled when you looked at the majestic look of that abandoned villa. The entire boundary of the villa covered about three to four acres. It was such a massive one. The gates were old and full of rust. When you touched the gates, the rust on the gate stuck on your hands. There were long bushes all over the place from the main gate to the hallway of the villa. Those bushes were black in colour, which boosted your fear and suspicion. ‘Maybe the legend was true.’ You murmured yourself.

Your fear was directly proportional to the distance between the hallway and you. Your passion for your job and the case made you overcome your fear and open the door to the hallway. It was difficult to open the door. You somehow managed to open the door. There awaited something shocking in front of your eyes when you opened that door. You saw a woman standing in the centre of the hallway with her kids. She was facing the opposite side of the hallway and you could not see her face. She was starring at something on the top of the roof. You slowly removed your shoes and sneaked towards her. Suddenly, you received a call from someone. The mobile phone rang aloud. But, the lady and the children didn’t respond. It increased your fear. On moving further closer, you realised that they didn’t have ears. The lady was chanting something looking at the ceiling of the building. You turned your look upwards to check whether there was anything on the ceiling. Few seconds passed, you slowly realised that the lady is now staring at you. Her face was damaged brutally. Her face tissues were peeling off and you found no lips on her face. Her white apron was stained with blood. She was starring at you ferociously and chanting something.

After clicking the publish button on the interface, she desperately wanted to close her laptop and doze off. But it was then, she noticed something strange on her screen. It was Instagram with a red dot on top of it. She clicked to open it. There was a message from someone called Javier.       ‘She’s coming.’      ‘7 nights and 6 days,' was the message from that person. She was too tired to think about that message. She just closed the lid of the laptop and dozed off to sleep.  The next morning,      The clock was running past eight and she was still sailing deep in sleep. It was then, her mobile started ringing so loud as it used to ring all the time. After a few rings, she realised it and woke up to answer that call. It was Bharath.      ‘What’s the matter? Let me sleep for some time,’ she said as soon as she answered the call.
