3. Who is the killer?

#3

The next day, you had a call from the police inspector. ‘The forensic team had given their reports. You can collect them.’ He said, in a disturbed tone. You rushed to the station. The inspector volunteered to read the report for you.

He started reading the report...

On the 20th day of August 2020, at approximately three in the early morning, Ms. Smrithi, a model and a debut actor found dead in her bathtub. It was 3:23 AM when the forensic team entered the house. After six hours of analysis, we collected some samples from her flat. Those are two glasses with some remains of whiskey, a half-empty whiskey bottle with some fingerprints. Those fingerprints make sure that someone was accompanying Smrithi for a drink. Then we retrieved her body from the bathtub. We analysed initially for physical injuries which resulted in negative. But, the autopsy reports confirm that she did not die in the bathtub. There was no water in her lungs.

There were some strange carvings on her bedroom walls which we cannot analyse. Also, we found a diary full of strange symbols. Please find attached the images of those carvings. We could not find out the cause of death. There were no physical injuries, no sexual harassment, no marks on her neck for choking. There were no lethal chemicals injected into her. There were some tattoos on her body that were similar to those carvings. We were sure that she was dead.

End of the report…

‘I have read this a dozen times. I’m screwed.’ The police inspector shouted. He gave that report and asked you to help him with this case.

That night…

You were studying that report for clues. A sudden spark hit your mind. You took that piece of paper you found last night at your doorstep. You called the inspector and said, ‘I found a clue.’

To be continued…
